Foods :)

Try a turkey baster to shoot some thawed frozen food to the corys.

I like Omega 1 flakes but Wardley shrimp pellets are favored over Omega. Hikari carnivore pellets are the favorite bottom dweller food but man, do they stink. New Life Spectrum little pellets are good for all as are Boyd's Vita diet. Variety is good but foods can get stale, don't have too many open at once.

ah thanks for the info on the thermometer was just about to buy it >

I am planning on making the frozen cubes eventually however until then i am having a hard time deciding on a decent selection of stuff for the tank.

Right now the only really fresh food i have is the frozen cubes from sfbb, the flakes and pellets i am using are older then i would like to use. What else should i add to this list of foods?

I planned on ordering from kens.. i am thinking i was gonna get
Kens Premium Angel Flake 1/2 lb
Kens Premium Color Flake with Naturose 1/2 lb
Kens Premium Super Tropical Flake 1/2 lb
Kens Premium Catfish Pellets 1/2 lb

Any ideas on what else? that food will probably last me more then a year but i might just end up throwing some away at the end since its same price for half a pound as it is for a couple oz container anywhere else :o

As I said on another thread, Ken's food seems very good but half a pound of food is a LOT. You may want to freeze some or something (not open all). I have several tanks & it's a BIG quantity. (of course I live close & don't pay shipping at meetings) He has more kinds I'd like to try, earthworm pellets & flakes are popular with my fish.

yea i realize half a pound is gonna be excessive, but even with shipping the prices are really good.
What i am wondering is the selection of foods which to choose. Its a bit overwhelming :)
