For Canister Filter Experts

I browsed through eBay last night and found a company "Jebao" that apparently specializes in knock-offs. Even their name is a knock off of Jebo! They had Eheim knock-offs, Fluval knock-offs and Marineland knock-offs, as well as Jebo knock-offs... I went to their website and found scary Chengrish. Buyer beware!! Just my opinion, though.

Well, my lengthy research on this filter has ended LOL. This filter is most definately a knock-off. It comes to us from a company named SunSun Group out of China. Not that I am against buying things from China, this one makes me a little leary. I have to side with all who have posted in this thread. It probably is a good filter, and it probably does what they say it does. But it makes me wonder if it has the same quality as say the C-series, or the Xp line. I am very sure that it would not stand a chance against the Eheim. But that is what I set out to find out. If I had money to burn, I would give this filter a go, just to see. But I am unfortunately a poor teenager LOL!

Wow CK, now I am really starting to like this filter! I should tell you what I am trying to do LOL. I am currently running 2 emperor 400's on my 90. They are doing an awsome job-both with mechanical and biological filtration. But I just want to suppliment them with more mechanical filtration-a polishing filter as it were. The bio wheels along with the 8 filter pads are giving More than enough surface area for bacteria-tank readings are Always Perfect. Just want to clean up the small bits of particulate-from the bio wheels I am guessing. Anyway, does this sound like the filter for me LOL. Running this with the micron cartridge, wraped with say after market filter floss should do the trick, no?
One last thing, could you measure one of your Micron cartridges and tell me how tall it is? That way I can order the floss to wrap it with. It is Much cheaper to buy bulk floss and cut it to size, than to pay for the marineland sleeves. Thank you so much in advance! 8^P
