Well, how often do we need to visit the Betta Spawning thread? How often must we visit the Finding ammonia thread? I think this takes up space which could be used for other purposes.
Disclaimer: I have very few postings, so my opinions don't mean much.
They are valid stickies. There are/were questions that come up constantly and it seems like it was a daily post on where to buy ammonia. As a sticky the information is there and then there is no longer a need to post where to get it on a daily basis.
The euthanizing fish is a valuble lesson. It isn't really just about euthanizing its about buying fish that are appropriate for you tanks. When I first came to AC I had no idea about many of the species that would not be appropriate and read that sticky. It is information that comes up all the time and as a sticky it remains there for new people and answers questions that can be a touchy subject (euthanizing)
The Betta Spawning log. Think how many questions a day are just asked about bettas and breeding. Too many people try this endevor without the information of what it truly takes to breed bettas (the time, space and knowledge is rather important) and it helps newbies and others alike learn about it. It is also a place to ask questions.
Your opinions are valid. But if you had seen how many times a day ammonia and where to get it was brought up prior to being a sticky...WOW..you would understand that one.

AC is fantastic and its easy to just click page two to check out more topics. Some days it's busier than others and everything stays on page one...some days there are more some days less and most stuff stays on the first page. Some times if people worry that their question hasnt been answered and it gets moved down, they bump it. Its all good
