Box turtle update: either that turtle has a rather low sense of self-worth or rotting leaves are warm and comfy. He's in a compost bin sitting on top of the pile. I think we may have a permanent resident here.

Chuck him some mushrooms, earthworms, and some veggies and you will have a friend for life

They also LOVE strawberries and they're in season too. Brighty colored fruits and veggies really grab their attention and are good for them too. Mine enjoy chopped tomatoes, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, banana, corn, peppers, grated yellow squash, carrots & zucchini.
