found a new mom and pop store.

my lfs told me that i could put 2green teroors a oscar and jack dempsey in a 45 gallon tank lol idiots

not sure what part of philly you are from, but i found this place not to long ago called east coast aquatics. this store is located right up the street from the lagoon, exit 9b from 95 south on chester pike. i found it by accident one day and have not bought a fish anywhere else since. the first time i walked through, in all their tanks, i saw 1 dead fish... they have a huge selection of both fresh and salt water and fish that i have never heard of.. like a bat fish... they have an eel there that has to be about 2 feet long and about 3 inches around, something i have never seen in any other store. prices there are very resonable as well. and the staff is very knowledgeable. if there is a fish, or anything else that you want they will order it for you. they do have a web site thats very helpful for directions as well.

Good LFS are good to have,I have 3 But one is realy good. If i tell them what
kind of fish i want they call streight to affrica and a man will go out on his
canoe and over night it....... NO bull. YOU WILL WANT TO BYE ALL THE FISH
AND LEAV NO FISH FOR ME. COOL DO IT BIG> :shark:

I've been to World Wide Aquarium a few times. Lately I've been frequenting Pets Plus up in the NE, up the Roosevelt Bulevard near Red Lion Road.
I was looking at East Coast Aquatics' web site, it looks really good. Maybe I'll take a ride up there tomorrow on my day off. Both places are a bit of a hike for me.
Way to represent, Philly

i was at ECA last night getting some food. they have gotten in a huge selection of live rock since the last time i was in there. if anyone is interested in discus, they have some that have to be about 6-7" diameter, for $100, beautiful fish.

We have a good one here... closest thing to it.. Pet Habitat.... Always bought my reptiles in the past from them
