Was at one of my lfs's today. This guy always has the best selection of Rainbows (10-12 species) around and today he had a new one. It is M.parva. He calls it the flame rainbow and boy is it beautiful! The great thing about it is that it stays small for a rainbow (~2"). I ended up getting four of them, 2 males and two females. Up to now the boesmani was my favorite rainbow but I think that is going to change! Link to a Picture

In the time since I made the first post I've been scouring the internet looking for more info. Ironically the Feb issue of TFH has an article on how this fish was first collected. Apparently it is even smaller than M. praecox, but other than that they are supposed to be very similar. Right now mine are hanging with my boesmani who are graciously showing them the lay of the land. The store had about a dozen left, I may have to go back and get some more. ;)
