My L204 hates the camera, but he's out all the time nomming on wood in this corner of the tank, so I had to grab a video. I know these guys are mostly nocturnal and my last one was very sneaky, Blink is a real pleasure.

Just a quick update on my little paraiba angels, they're looking awesome, coloring up to a nice soft yellow, and their blues are getting really bright. There is one that seems to have a gimp feeler but it seems to be straightening out. Probably just my imagination though. Anyways, here's pictures.

Oh yeah, if any of you guys have this age of angels you know the pretty much never stop moving. I finally lured them into a semi-stationary state with an algae wafer.

hey look, its been exactly a year since I first put this thread up. Just thought I'd commemorate with a stupid video. Btw...I went a little stupid with the effects. enjoy!

Really nice tank! I like those angels.

Also, what type of apisto is that?

thanks, that's a male apistogramma agassizii. I had a pair but the female went out the overflow a few days after I moved them into the main/display tank, I found her, netted her and returned her to the tank but she just flat out disappeared a few days later. Must have died in a cave and been eaten by the other fish. I still have yet to successfully keep and apisto pair...one day though. One day.

An unlikely pair of friends.

So, this Rosy Red Shiner has been riding around in one tank of ours or another for a year and a half or so. Before that my friend had bought it as a joke fish and then handed it off to us with one of her old tanks. He started bullying my wife's community tank but we didn't really have anywhere else to go. So I tossed him in with Bob, my Jack Dempsey, since Bob is such a mellow guy. I figured he'd be fine (not that I really cared TOO much at this point:banhim:...he's a feeder fish after all lol) I didn't expect to come out this morning and find him and Bob sharing Bob's favorite cave. Fish are strange...I think I'm going to go grab like 5 of these little guys and put them through QT and introduce them. Worst case scenario Bob gets to do some live feeding.

Dude...awesome tanks! I like that your feeder turned into a buddy :D

thanks....I'm still waiting to come out some time and find the minnow eaten, but he still just follows Bob around. Bob showed stress bars for the first couple days but is back to bright and happy now. He actually seems to be spending a bunch more time out of his cave swimming around the tank, I think he likes seeing something else move for a change.
