I know that you can use the plastic plugs, the man-made plugs, rubble and various man made disks..but this is soooo simple. My lFS told me just to buy (funny how they just had one on hand) a diamond blade for a dremmel ($10) and then take one of my pieces/or buy a small piece of tonga and cut it into disks. It is great...and I have to say that a small piece of tonga in my tank is enough for me so this constitutes "reef recycling":)

2lb hammer and a chunk of LR makes a bunch of rubble pieces. I just use the Reef Plugs mostly from Boston Aquatic Farms, I think is the name. But yes you can use a variety of things to glue your frags to. I have seen people use plastic poker chips, just pieces of acrylic, plastic golfing T's, you name it. Good luck with your fragging.

I use the concrete floor method. Get a piece of live rock, drop from a height onto the concrete floor, pick up the larger pieces and chuck into sump, use the smaller pieces for glueing frags!!!!

What is tonga?

Tonga branch live rock. Has a lot of finger like pieces to it that lends itself to cutting out the disks for fragging if you are so inclined.
