Freddie and friends

Well...the pickle jar is home until the big tank is cycled. I couldn't help starting early when I saw Freddie's beautiful self just waiting in a plastic tub for me to claim n' name him
 
Nice betta! How much longer on your tank cycle?
 
Not sure, but I'm hoping no more than a week or two since I started appx 3 weeks ago with a friend's filter floss. I dose to 3ppm ammonia every night and it's back to 0 by morning, but nitrite's have hovered around 2ppm for the last week or so, and the nitrates spiked to 17 but have stayed there...I'm thinking relatively soon and hoping I'm not stalled. In the meantime, I do think Freddie's feeling good about his temporary home since he built a bubble nest today and he loves circling the wisteria before perching on some leaves in the middle to rest.
 
those are Japaneses names ive heard them somewhere before sasuke had something to do with a curse mark...... gata love those betta!!!
 
my husband named them...Sasuke is a name that's associated with a historical ninja (ever watch Ninja Warrior on the G4 channel? It's called Sasuke in Japan)...that cat is constantly sneaking up on his brother and our feet. Kiba is also Japanese and means "fang"...he's more direct in his attacks :P. They're also characters from the anime Naruto...but it's a secret I'm geeky enough to know that ;)

I only catch bits n pieces while my husband watches it, but the main character is this boy Naruto who, at birth, was used in a ritual to seal away a powerful fox demon Kyuubi (that first clip he's fighting to keep it controlled inside himself)...when he gets really mad it's aura is partially released and he gets the tails...Sora's one of the friends he usually fights with, looks like the demon somehow took him over for that episode...the storyline is really long and convoluted and full of filler episodes (part of why I don't pay a lot of attention), but he and his friends are all ninjas in training, trying to protect their hometown and then later trying to rescue a friend that turned evil or something...I lost track about 50 episodes ago, but if you're really curious I could always ask my husband to post a more detailed synopsis :)

this seems like an interesting show i read a long post on Wikipedia So naruto has the 9 tailed fox. akuaski or something like that is out to catch all 9 of the tailed demons, this sasuke guy turned to some creepy guy because his brother killed his family. :screwy: any who in episode 71 hidan and kazku are finally revealed so im guessing they never been seen before, this sora has charka left over from Kyuubi when he attacked the leaf village.... werid but i saw a video on you tube where the 9 tailed fox comes out and fights the creepy snake guy :nutkick:
