ok thanks! I think I am going to hold off a bit and try to find a golden one with a white foot....well if I don't get too emotional when I see them that is! But I may change my mind... I'll let you know!
Don't know if this would help or not, but my daughter is in school down in Edwardsville and would probably be willing to help transport. Of course...would have to get up here somehow
How far are you from Lewiston, Matt?
I wish EVERYONE who wanted a snail would just live in Illinois.
I took 24 more to the pet store today, so hopefully that will give me another 5 or 10 minutes between PWCs. They give me store credit for them and I had $36 credit to use up. I grabbed a handful of filter cartridges and pads for a few of the different filters I have. They were priced high and I would have never bought them for cash, but store credit isn't real money, it's monopoly money you can use to get real stuff, so I bit.
could be wrong but isn't this type of snail still allowed to be shipped cross accrost state lines. I know alot of them you have to have a permit for but not all. This is not a plant eating snail and there for it is not off concern. Anyways I was looking into this a while back ago but with the permits when you applie online for your permits they will give you a pending number and you can ship with that number. Like I said I don't know for sure but I don't beleive these snails require the permit.
Cana apple snails will eat your houseplants if they are close enough to the tank. There is no plant they will NOT eat. You are mistaken on all counts. They require a permit which will never be issued, therefore they are forbidden to ship.
