Well. My guppy had a few batches of fry (surprise surprise) I thought I'd let nature take it's course and they'd die off. Well, nature decided to take a break in my tank and let 14 guppies live. I had no idea what to do with them.
Yesterday I was in the petstore (very good store btw :]) and I asked one of the workers if they will take fish for free, and the employee said no. After a minute of chat, he asked what kind of fish they were, and found out, he LOVES guppy babies.
I went home, got the babies, gave them to him and left. They were in the bag for about an hour from when I brought them to him, to when he got off.
The next day, the girlfriend needs supplies for the tank, so we go buy them. I'm browsing the stuff. Employee comes up to me and says all the guppies I gave him are dead, except 2 which killed his 2 platies.
I just look at her for a second. He thinks I gave him terrible demon fish, but he's okay with it. I do the only thing I can do, apologize for my "death fish". He's fine with it and laughing about it, but I could tell he hated me for those few minutes.
My question is - is the 12 guppies dying my fault in anyway? I REALLY don't think so. They were perfectly fine before I gave them away.
Secondly - can guppies harass platies to death?
