I mixed my spirulina flake sample into batches of snello. My snails love them! I just added enough boiling water to dissolve the gelatin.. waited a little for it to cool and then added the flake + a tbsp of honey. One snail that hasn't been looking good lately jumped on it and is STILL eating it.
 
My platies, neons, cories, amano shrimp, and BN pleco all loved the spirulina. That makes 100% success rate in my tank. My pleco, who always patiently waits to see his Hikari algae wafter gradually sink to the bottom, went nuts as soon as the spirulina hit the bottom and scooted up the glass to get more.

I swear the mailman stored the envelope in his back pocket for a day or two before delivering it. It was crumpled with one of the corners ripped off, and most of the flakes were destroyed. My shrimp appreciated it though!

I think you missed the boat for the freebies. He sent out the last free samples 4 months ago, lol. The point was to get feedback on the quality of the food and some word of mouth advertising. I don't think it was an open ended "first one is on us" sample.

Just send him a PM, or go to his storefront, which was posted a couple pages back. It's less expensive than your Omega One, and well worth trying out.
