Free tank with fish and plants in Toronto

Free to anyone under 16 who can pick up in Toronto area.

I have a 15 gallon tank with newish in-tank canister filter, Mariner heater, cheap flourescent hood, flourite substrate. Right now, it's housing a very healthy family of guppies and a ton of assorted plants. The tank ain't pretty but like I said, it's very healthy and would make a great starter for a kid.

The only thing it needs is a new top glass. The old one broke and I'm using odd pieces of plastic and glass to cover the top.

I'll also throw in some food and assorted other goodies I can find. My only condition is that the kid must be be present for the pickup. Make sure you bring a bunch of buckets since I don't have any spares.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person wondering about that...I thought maybe I'd been watching too many crime dramas.

Having once been a kid who poured his savings into fish and gear, I'm just trying to help a youngster get into into a healthy and fascinating hobby while freeing up some space in my basement.

Also, being a parent myself, I believe in the kid being part of the whole process - ie. find a tank, pay for it, pick it up, set it up at home. That makes him/her much more involved and committed to keeping the tank up.

I'm assuming the kid is going to be coming with a parent. In fact, I'll make that a requirement.

Also, correction the heater - it's a Marineland. The kind with two temp settings. Super reliable and idiot proof.
