Freeze-Dried Foods

Recently, I purchased freeze dried bloodworms, white shrimp and krill to augment the diet for my fish.

I was wondering if anyone else used freeze dried and what your thoughts are concerning the nutritional value.

not as good as frozen, which isn't as nutritious as live...but still quite good and can be a valuable asset in varying the diet of your fish. i use all three types to accent the diet of my fishes.

I don't use freeze-fried as a staple for my fish, I use it as a treat. I'm not sure if the freeze-dried provides the nutritional value needed but different fish..... it very well could but I also feed pellets and flake for variety.

right, i should say that i use all three in addition to the daily feeding of a staple food. in the morning, my fish get a good staple flake food. in the evening, on most days they get either live, frozen, or freeze-dried food...one of the three each night. sometimes i'll mix in sinking tabs for my bottom feeders, but they all get fed for sure regardless.

Thanks for the feedback, I use the freeze dried with a flake and spirulina, and feed every second day.
