Freshwater Puffer

Your oscars & other FW fish will not be happy in the conditions necessary fot your puffer. He will also continue to torture them. He needs a cycled BW tank for himself.

Today I bought him his own 10 gallon tank.
I wanted an excuse to get another one anyway ;)

The only thing I'm worried about now is finding the occasional snail small enough for him. I don't think I've ever seen any of my LPS's offer snails as feeders, but I've also never asked. I've never had a pest problem with snails in all the years I've kept aquariums, but I'm starting to wish I did :P

10 gallons isn't big enough for a GSP. 20 gallons might be okay, but still not great. I'd recommend 30 or more gallons. (Two 3" F8 Puffers can do alright in a 20, so one 6" GSP seems like a logical stocking swap. Still, more room is better...)

You should be fine if you get your 29 gallon tank cycled to brack conditions for it soon. Kudos to you for staying the course and going SW for your mean little puffer. SW is the only reason I don't want a GSP... ;)
