Freshwater Wet / Dry filter?

Ok, I am thinking about building a wet / dry for my 125.
I just cant seem to get all of the particulate matter out of the water.

Just wondered if anyone else has done this.

And what the difference between a wet / dry and a sump?

Some w/d filters are standalone, others need to go into a sump, like mine. I built my own, using this giude:

I use a piece of bonded filter pad on top of the drip tray for mech filtration, but I think it would be better if there were some way to use a filter sock instead.

Ha, Thanks Matt, I was looking at that article yesterday!!

I might build one out of a 20Gal... So then what is a Sump for?

A sump can be used for different things - hold a wet/dry, hold a veggie filter, place to keep equipment,, increases water volume...
