What sort of newts? I currently have a pair of P. waltl, but would like to expand with a couple more species. I also have some black-bellied salamanders, a blue spotted salamander, and some tiger salamanders.
Hey Toirtis,
if you can, please shoot us a photograph of your pretties. I would love to see some pictures of your setups. I would love to see some pictures of some ribbed newts. A shame I have not seen any newts for sale around here in the last few years. They are hard to come by. :(

My newts are Eastern Red Spotted. I got six surplus males from a breeding project a year ago. Two died immediately from red leg. I have two left, and I'm wondering if one is a female. She doesn't have the breeding crest that the other does. I can find you the name of the guy I got them from if you'd like. I don't know if he ships but he keeps alot of newts and salamanders.

The tadpoles are plain old Bufos americanus, American toad. We collected them locally. I'm contacting the Illinois DNR to find out if its okay to release some of them when they are grown out. Wisconsin says its okay to do that as long as you keep them in quarantine and you put them back in the same spot where you collected the tadpoles.

You can upload them to the wiki on AquaFacts if you want:

If it says they're too large, let me know and I'll fix it temporarily.

We'd like to have them in the Amphibian Forum that Trickster has there.

You guys have me all curious about newts and stuff now. This your revenge for the ball python, Trick? :D
