Hey,

I'm new to the threads and I'm thinking about setting up a frogfish tank. I have a twenty gallon long tank and am very experienced in freshwater tank care. Any suggestions on set-ups or what kind of frogfish is best, along with best food?

Thanks,
Mithrandir

I would go with a peaceful Wartskin Angler. When you first get it, live feeder shrimp (probs misis or glass shrimp) are used to entice it to eat. Then use mollies.

Now, for the mollies, I would get another tank set up for mollies only. Get 6 females and 2 males. Tank should be about 30gal, and can be full saltwater or full fresh or brackish. The fry are very adaptable, and those would be the food. Now, the mollies will breed like no tomorrow (I should know, good grief) and you can use the fry to feed your angler. I find that the fry are most adaptable before they get to be 1in long. So feed the angler smaller mollies, not adults, they may not live long enough to be eaten.
