I have to say, nothing makes my blood boil more than when the Supreme Court cites international precedents in its rulings. That's why Bush has the support that he does: he doesnt let world opinion effect the way the US acts.

:OT: I know... but still...

Heh, Happy! I know. I find this thread amusing actually. So much misinformation. You can see the folks who get spoonfed information from the media. I love it! As for the Electoral Colleges: They are chosen absed on who they will vote for, but only after the election is decided. Sometimes they throw folks a bone with a vote, but they always give the President Elect the votes he is supposed to get. So, while to an outsider it may look as if the votes don't count, anyone who has studied US government at a high school or University level understands that the Electoral college is simply an old system that is in place due to tradition and since it is chosen by the party of the President elect, they vote him in.

Everyone likes to take their shortsighted views. As much as everyone wants to bad mouth everyone else, It's my hope that 20 years from now the world will be a safer place, the middle east will have some freedom and will be contributing to the world, and the actions of GW and the USA will have had a lot to do with it.

We did nothing while we were attacked for 20 years, that didn't work.

I just don't see whats wrong with hoping that we are successful!

To quote: Say good-night...

Looked like this was going to mellow out there for a while, and then name calling started up again. Deep breath everyone.

Good night, Gracie!
