Front and Backyard Ponds (Pictures)

I think Andrew has an excellent suggestion, Bansart.:) Do quarantine every new fish though because ich is quite a pain when it comes to infestations among loaches. Loaches are scaleless that you really have to be careful with how you treat them.

I see. Ill definetly Quarantine each fish. Im going to put koi on the upper part of the pond, This is not gonna be a problem for the loaches is it? Their gonna be in different levels. The upper part for the kois and lower part where the water flow is much faster is for the loaches.. its probably gonna be ok to have them in the upper part also huh? so long as I quarantine and check each stock I put in the pond?

Hmmm...Clown loaches though are tropical whereas koi are coldwater so I wouldn't try that mix. Weather loaches are just about the only loaches that would fit well in your plan.

Yes I was thinking about this but most of the stuff around the house..ie. pumps, outdoor and indoor LED lighting run on solar power. Behind that wall in the front pond is a series of batts hooked up to solar panels on the garage roof.

Going green, good job. You won't have to pay a small fortune every month for all of that electricty, especially trying to heat all of your ponds in winter. :)
