Frontosa help

Floating is a common problem with Frontosa, specially the blue species like Mpimbwe. Floating is not a desease but is caused by improper food (too much air), feeding from the surface, and stress (forced to stay on the surface and gasp air). There is even an article on how to treat floating in the Frontosa Fantasia web (now Frontosa Corner):

Harry, i just got 2 seacam products, the ph and salt, reading the ph it says to increase to 9.0-9.2, one problem my test kit only goes to 8.6, but its al least 8.6 now, dont want to increase further until i ge a high tester,. now for the floating one i am going to use pipzine, the lfs recomended this, I cant even think about inserting a needle to the air bladder as recomended by tiger15(thanks for that link by the way), until last resort.

Barbie, there is no aggresion in the tank. knock on wood every thing is getting along, even the fish in mention go eat and then start floating again almost like they have a life preserver on.
