frozen food

it is recommended to feed fish a variety of food, and that usually includes some frozen food. it should be thawed out in a cup of tank water first, and if you want you can pour the food into a net over the sink to get rid of the "juice" before feeding, which can cause bacterial blooms in smaller or under-maintained tanks.

I usually crack off a piece of frozen food and move it in the tank to defrost it. My Discus usually come to eat it from my hands. I used to thaw blood worms in a cup of tank water, then feed them. The food thaws quick as my temp is 83 degrees

Always make sure frozen food is fully defrosted before you feed it to your fish... as if your fish eat food that is still frozen, it can damage the digestive system.
