With those frozen foods do u just dump it in the tank or cut it in little pieces? Will dumping them in cloud the water ?

The volume of water needed to defrost food is minor compared to the volume of a tank. So any chlorine or chloramine that might be added would be insignificant. Plus, I think that if someone regularly uses a water conditioner with water changes, any residual conditioner in the tank would instantly neutralize that small amount of chlorine. I'm too lazy to worry about it and just defrost frozen food with regular water.
