okay, update again lol, I definately would recommend these clams to EVERYONE, my tank is literally crystal clear ! i will post pictures later, takes better pictures when its dark inside :dance:

I think Niko has talked about using the ones from the local fish market before. I looked up the ones you mentioned (Mercinaria campenchienses)and they seem to be a good deal too although a bit more than the fish market ones . If I had sand or mud in my fuge I'd be tempted to get some for in there.
