Hey all,

I have two gold dust molly fry, about 4 months old and almost two inches. There is a male and a female, and lately ive noticed the male chasing his "sister" and another much older female molly around (i guess hes a teenager!) Would it be harmful/possible for the female fry to get pregnant? Is it dangerous for any resulting fry especially when they are "brother and sister" eg, diseases, hump back ect. Should i be worried or seperate them?

Thanks

Heh, yeah, he's sexually mature and so is she. As for inbreeding being "dangerous" that's a debate that aquarists have all the time. For something like mollies, I wouldn't worry too much about it. By the by, they aren't fry anymore. ;)

Same thing happened with my guppies :) Their fry, not fry anymore, just had their own little fry. Now I have so many and I love it.
