Fry tank

I was thinking about getting a 10 gallon tank and a sponge filter. Would this be a good settup for fry?

i also figured when there arent fry in this tank that maybe i could use it as a quarentine tank. Im not sure if the sponge filter would be sufficient, but I want to use a sponge filter so the fry cant get sucked in.

A good ten gallon tank with a small sponge filter, heater and a few plastic plants should be alright and I have baby platys in a tank like I described and it is working good so far.
