Fry vs. filter

nice pics... and good luck with them... so guess I should have the beginning stages of wigglers tomorrow night or so....

The babies are still alive and well as far as I can tell/see. I think I can see their eyes. They are little shiny dots. Dad is still being a very protective dad but mom is being a lazy mom. She still runs off the other fish when the mood hits her but she is usually out and about searching for food leaving the dad to tend to the babies. He left them alone for the first time this morning to eat.

Both ideas are great..I will cover both intakes tonight when I get home. Now does anyone know how the parents take care of the fry? Or do they fend for themselves when they hatched?

The male and female (which ever one is stronger) (because the will fight around two days after birth) (<--- may not be the case, they sometimes both take turns guarding) with look after the babies untill they can live on there own.. 1cm maybe..
if u have liquid food that is great or just hatched bbs...

BTW: i have this really good website that as step by step on what to do..
(sponge filters are better)

Nice shots. I'd move them to a bare bottom fry tank.

Husband won't let me set up another tank. That is the reason for all the questions. I don't expect to get any good juv. fish out of this for the reason of not being able to set up a tank for them but it is just so exciting to see this happen anyway. It is my first time experiencing eggs that hatch.

All my eggs got eaten up by the 3rd day. Oh well next time hopefully
