Would only Eheim hoses work? Is the flow adjustable?

I use hoses from Home Depot, so no, you don't have to use Eheim hoses. And yes, the flow is adjustable.

This is a great filter. 2 media baskets. Push top for priming. Easy to clean. Seriously, I love this filter...that's why I stuck with the series when I upgraded.

I originally bought it for a 30g and it was fantastic. I also used it on my 45g, but had a deal on a 2128 pop up so I jumped at it.

I said no media, but I just looked and it has a coarse filter pad for the bottom and I'd be glad to stuff it full of filter floss before I ship.

I bought my 2026s for $150 each NIB with media included plus shipping from BigAls. This was a number of years back. The current price for this filter package at Bigs is now $230 plus shipping.

Considering the only Eheim media you need for the filter is the blue pad since you can substitue other cheaper media and make your own fine pad from rigid filter floss, this deal is a pretty good one.
