That is the potential for what could happen. My cherry population is pretty depeleted at the moment. I am letting some babies grow. I should have them in a week or so. I have an order for 45 to fill first and then will be able to send more out.

Now I am TOTALLY confused. I looked it up on the internet but I still don't know the difference between bridgesii and mystery snails. :help:

Yea, "mystery snail" is a common name used by pet stores to most commenly describe the apple snail species pomacea bridgesii.

Finally setup the tank for the snowball shrimp I will get from you. Took your advice and seeded my tank with material from my established tank. How long should I wait before putting in any shrimp, assuming the water params are good? Basically, when should I place my order with you so that when I receive them, it will be safe to put in the tank?

Pics of their new home when they arrive - http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1675528#post1675528

I would get them right away, unless you are feeding the seeded bacteria. I would drop food or ammonia in the tank until you get your shrimp to keep the bacterial colony fed/growing. Typically what I do is to move the seeded material (typically filter media) and then add the stock immediately and monitor the parameters for the first week. I rarely see a ripple with adding shrimp.
