..an update.
I managed to get some males for all the female
Triple Red A. cacatouides. My last batch of A. borellii
are big enough to ship, though still on the small side.

So...heres what I got

Apistogramma cactouides 'Triple Red' 4 pairs and 8 females
Pelvicachromis sacrimontis
Nanochromis transvestitus
Aphyosimion australe 'Red/Orange'

My laeacara spawned again - which means I'll have more
of them to get rid of in 8 weeks.

the sacrimontis are the same as scarlet/giant kribensis right?

could i put 1 or maybe 2 (of 1 gender) in a mixed african tank, i know people who have kept common kribs in this type setup and it worked fine.

what ph do you keep them at?

Can you give me some more info on the Laetacara sp. 'purple gold' species? Like how big they get and what conditions the live in?

I'm definitely interested in them when they get bigger. Also the Apistogramma cactouides and the Apistogramma borelli when they are ready. I'd like to work it out to ship at the same time to keep costs down, so please let me know by PM or so when everything is ready.

Thanks,
Bill C.

Yep, the common name is scarlet/giant kribensis.
Keeping more than one pair in a tank really depends
on tank size. I'd give each pair atleast 40G since they
do get a little more aggressive than regular kribs - only
when breeding though.

Well, its a south american species with adult size at slightly
over 2". Females are generally a little smaller. They seem
pretty comfortable at neutral - slightly acidic pH. Aggression
at spawning time is limited to chasing any intruders away.

The laetacara won't be ready till December, and I doubt I'll
have the borelli and cacs then. I'm tearing down my fishroom
for a move in January and I will be selling off all my fish before
then. Right now is the best time to ship - its neither too hot nor
too cold. The borelli are going fast since I'm selling them so cheap.

Well, if this deal about selling my car ever goes thru, I'll give you a shout to see what you have left. Since I'm into the SA dwarfs. sounds like the laetacara would be prefect, so let me know when they are ready!

For now, the others would be ok if they are small! I'm in the same boat you are... moving again in December, but this one will be permanent!!

Thanks,
Bill C.

GhoriG-

Sorry to jump in so late in the game, I just scrolled down to the Classifieds for the first time in months. Do you still have any fish left? I'd would be interested in everything you listed. I just have to research a little as to what I can have ;). Approximately how much would shipping be to Minneapolis 55416? How low can the temps here get and you still be comfortable shipping fish? Its been getting down into the 20's here recently. Sorry for all the qusetions I've never had fish shipped to me before, and thanks in advance.

Matt
