ill probly get a colony with a few extra adults in it. i need new genes in the pool.
what is the PH of your water
and at what general temp do they stay at?
and also what kind of plants do you use to keep the fry from getting eated. i have java moss but the PMS pregnant fish go in after the fry.

My water is around 7.0-7.6. Depending if I want to clean out the tannins or not. Currently at 7.0ish.
I keep them in a tank with a lot of java moss and java ferns. I can't keep too many types of plants in this tank, due to bad lighting.
I have never really witnessed my adults eat my babies. You can usually avoid this behavior by simply feeding them at least 2-3 times a day.
I should probably add that adding adult pairs to your order is very limited. Mainly because I need to keep adults to continue more colony deals. Packages = more fish removed from my tank for me and it works out better for me.
To add fish:
$5 per pair
$1.50 per young adult
$75 per fry
Adults will go by pairs. I don't want to end up with like 20 females in my tank and 3 males. You can only add up to 1 adult pair per colony order and as much as young adult/fry as you want (as long as I have it in stock). Sorry if this is an inconvenience for anyone, but I do hope you understand why I limit it
