After completing the move from my 55 and 40 to consolidate my stock into my new 125 I tried to seperate out as many non-ornamental snails as I could.

Now I've got LOTS of pest snails of various varieties. MTS- their cosins, quilted mels... there may be one or two ramshorns or bladder snails- I see them from time to time (although my spixis ate most of them... they wouldn't eat the trumpet kind though- so the trumpety species tended to dominate).

I'm assuming shipping the small cube boxes the Post Office once gave me is still $5.00- so I will charge $5.50 (extra 50 for other misc. costs) for as many as you want (within reason... they have to fit in a box... and I have to have enough... LOL). I've got hundreds of the buggers... although most of them are smallish because I clean house with them periodically and the bigger ones are easier to spot to sell.

Who will rid me of my snails?

Some have shipped- but many more (over half remain).
I want to move the old tanks out- but I don't want to just "kill" the snails in there- I was hoping someone could take them...

They make a good clean up crew... or to feed some snail loving critter of yours?

Some other suggestions:

Live aquatic gravel for your driveway
Crunchy cereal substitute
"Snail Substrate" for a 10 gallon... can't guarantee the plants would stay rooted.
Use mini action figures and film your own horror-noir. Attack of the giant snails.
Aphrodisiacs. (not entirely sure how this fits... but it's always a good bet selling anything)

Please, if you have any other suggestions for uses with these snails that might make someone buy them- help me out!

MTS aren't pests you meany, I will buy some of your snails from you and try and repair their shattered self esteem :) Paypal okay?

LOL... Yeah... they are actually quite cute- I just have snails I like better... and I have way too many MTS... Tried not to transport too many over to the new tank.

Actually what I have most of are Quilted Melania- a closely related, less common variety of MTS. They have darker shells, no red spots. Paypal is fine.

I might have enough left after I get some more plants to get these, if you still have some left then. I always need these little guys, they don't like my soft water.

Wycco,
Do you still have some MTS? I would love to get my hands on some more. My goldfish are so in need of some extra cleanup buddies...

Don't suppose you'd be willing to sell that 40 gallon once you get rid of some snails? I'm in Columbia as well. Might also get a snail or two, but probably not the kind of numbers you're looking for...

Sorry out of snails now.

Silent, I am planning on selling the 40g. Has stand. Stand is kind of ugly- would look nicer with new paint. 40G used to be used for salt water and has hardwater stains (when dry) that I could not get rid of. (doesn't show if full of water- not good as a paludarium).

Tank holds water and is well made though.
