I've been throwing this stuff away by the handfulls, so decided to see if anyone might want some of it instead. These are great floating plants- stop your fish from jumping, make them feel more secure, take a load off of your tank's bio filter, and some fishes munch on the duckweed.

$1 for a good sized mass of duckweed, $1 for a good sized mass of water spangles. A good sized mass will maybe cover a square foot of water surface.

Shipping is $5.65 priority, anywhere in the US. If you happen to be in Appleton, you can definitely pick some up. Shipping is flat rate, no matter how much you buy.

Payment taken via paypal. PM me with what you want, and I will give you my paypal address. Thanks for looking.

I don't have a camera, sorry.
3 salvina leaves span the diameter of a dime, if that helps. You will be getting a pretty large amount of plant material, and being that they are many many small plants, they take up more nutrients and propagate faster than a single large plant of the same mass.

I am about to throw out massive amounts of these floating plants. They cover 80% of a 40gal breeder and more like 90% of a 20gal long and 100% of a 10gal (for shrimp). I'll be throwing out about 75% of all of that so please let me know if you'd like some. I've only had 3 people take me up on this, so there's still plenty to go around.

im interested in covering my tanks with this... in your opinion, which is better looking or effective?

Honestly, I like the contrast of the different sizes of leaves.

I forgot to mention that I will also throw in some free water lettuce plants with all of the orders. I took a pic with my shoddy cell phone to give an idea of size comparisons and how they look in one of my tanks.

The spangles more or less grow in identifiable clusters as the duckweed fills in the spaces in between. The 3 plants take on different shades of green which look really nice, as well as different textures. the water lettuce leaves are fuzzy to be water-repellant (water beads on the leaves if any gets on them), the spangles have goosebumps to do the same, and the duckweed gives a nice background fill with slightly waxy leaves. not to mention what the roots of these plants look like which is awesome in themselves, which idk how to describe.

i'll also admit that being that i grow all three of the plants together in all of those tanks, i don't want to bother separating duckweed from spangles lol

I'll take one portion of each. Where do I paypal? :)

And a quick question, what are the lighting/CO2 requirements for these plants? Also, if they cover the whole surface, doesnt that stop light from seeping down to the other plants?

These are floating plants, meaning they get light directly from your light source. Also, co2 is not a concern because, being floaters, they are in direct contact with the air just like terrestrial plants.
And they'll only cover the whole surface if you want it to, but light still gets through. I have ludwigias, bacopas, and limnophilias thriving even though they are under those floaters.
i'll PM you my paypal addy.

I've underestimated how much the shipping costs. Apparently I'm including almost 1.5 lbs of plant for an order of 2 'masses' (that's your package, RgTrace)

I'm gonna have to ask $6.65 for shipping now. But be assured, you will get a LOT of plant for your money.

PM sent!! :)
