Ft. Lauderdale FL area Goldfish people?

I am getting out of Goldfish.
I have one Goldfish Connection orange Ranchu approximately 5" that I will give to anyone who can give her a proper home.
She is a great little fish with a nice face and head with totally exposed eyes.

I would love to have the fish but it is too long of a drive. Why are you giving up t goldfish??

I have just had really rotten luck with them as far as health. I try as hard as I can (and personally cannot see how I could do any better) and still have more problems with them than with all my other tanks put together.
Floaters, abcesses, dropsy, tumors...

And as a "conformation" person in the dog world, looks matter- so I have always insisted on buying the best quality Goldies I can find, and I am tired of losing $100 fish.
I am beginning to believe that all these years of selective breeding have taken a huge toll on the health of these fish. If I could abide cheaper Goldies then I would be willing to continue, but I can't so... I need the tank space for new challenges.

BTW- found her a home and she's leaving today.
