fun bottum feeders

I am looking for some bottom feeder suggestions. I have always had cory cats (usually albinos) and still love them, but I might like to try something new. I’m setting up a new tank (29 gal) and would like to keep a couple of angels in addition to the bottom feeders. I do not want fish that will get very large, and would prefer fish that will interact a bit and not hide too much.

So, if you have suggestions let me know the type of fish, and the number that you think might work the best. I’ll even take suggestion on new types of cory cats.
 
I am new but... i have loaches and they are sooo fun! You may want to go with zebra or burmese rather than Kuhlli if you want to see them a lot. They swim alover and play quite a bit. Everywhere I have looked for stocking info has put them as OK with Angels as well.

Upside-Downers are really cool!!! They swim upside-down and usaully get up to about three inches. But they are nocturnal. They are also very fun fish to watch when they are out of hiding!

otos are nice, but upside down cats need a nice shoal of 4-5 individuals and sound not be kept in anything smaller than 55G for a proper shoal. I beleive you would be best off with a trio of either khulii, zebra, or burmese loaches.

In my opinion, Upside-Down Catfish would be fine in a 29 gallon. I have Upside-Down Catfish, and they hate each other.

that's funny you should mention that! My two upside-down cats (also in a 29 gal) used to be best friends. I got them to keep each other company when they were little. They ALWAYS hung out, constantly touching each other with their whiskers and sharing the same cave. Then, suddenly when they grew up, they "broke up" and the girl got evicted. They now live in separate caves :D

Jenny, you could try some kuhli loaches as fishcatch said. They stay small and are really neat. Tehy do better in groups of 3 or more. That or other smaller loaches would be great.

My own community tank is a bit "bottom-heavy" as I have a love affair with bottom feeders :D In my 29, I've got two upside-down cats, two dojo loaches, and 4 otos.

just another idea as a stab in the dark a flyingfox? dont know what tank they need nore the compatibiaty oh i give up on spelling
