Holy crap that sounds bad!
id get the fish into a Q tank, do a very large water change in the other tank and scrub it clean (no soap just srubin and rinsein w/ declorinated water) if you clean out the filter dont replace the bio wheel and just rinse out the filter carterage then replace it then id read the ICH article in the article section to irradicate the ich. put the fish back into the original aquarium and follow the instruction in the ICH article. then do more water changes over the next week
then pray that it doesn't come back!!!
