My days of siphoning gas from my parents cars so I could drive mine got me in the know on how to get a siphon going otherwise I may have done the same thing.

Hey, all you people using the 'suck" method ! Have you ever tried a Python? I'll never suck again !! Great story, though !!

I used a Python back in the day (early 1990s I think). I still prefer the old school gravel vac and bucket method. lol
