I am currently saving up for a tank from 50gallons to 100gallons. I know it's a big jump but I want a bigger tank! I want African Cichlids. I will most likely get texas holley rock or will set up slate in the back to make little homes. I am most likely gonna get a canister filter. What do you think about filter's, lighting, heater, and fish. I am wanting a fish that will be around the size of a electric yellow or smaller. And I want cool colors! :D

Do you know any breeders of cichlids in the Pacific Northwest? I was hoping around Seattle area!

I have south american cichlids in another tank so don't want any south american's

For my 55 gallon mbuna tank I run an eheim 2028 and a cascade 1000. It's overkill but i have plenty of filtration. Pretty much get the largest tank you can afford/have space for. I find 55 gallon to be a great size and it's a tank you can get for a reasonable price new.

For fish I would look into a large group of demasoni(12+) with 7-8 yellow labs. This is a beautiful and active combination. If you get a larger tank you could add some afras(I recomend white top haras) or rusties.

Another great small mbuna is Ps saulosi. Males are blue with black stripes and females are bright yellow.

i would do a sweet tang tank, with some calvus and some gobys and julies

Tangs are Tanganyikans, from the lake of the same name, another rift lake in Africa similar to Malawi. The ones fishfiles referred to are from that lake.
