update time..
Heres what the tank looked like on 4/21
Well alot of things had changed, I got rid of a big portion of stargrass (will probably get rid of it completely and replace it with either rotala macrandra or some ludwigia), moved over the ET to the right side so it can fill in there without stealing 2 much center space. And ofcourse added some plants with color.. The current pictures are after a big trim, so it doesnt look like much..
ET really filling in nicely, will have to trim it soon so it stays short and dense.

Tank inhabitants: otos and killies
I had alot of HC die off because i had to throw in some plant cuttings into this tank and well.. the light was blocked and hc just melted.. I am now giving the HC my full attention, hoping it will fill in the foreground completely.
The hairgrass in the back left is filling in more and more weekly, looks like the monthly lawn mow really helps it get nice and thick.
Bump
Ahh today my co2 mix thats been up for a month and 2 weeks is finally slowing down. This was probably the most random one of all, all previous ones only lasted 4 weeks.
Future plan: Should be taking the stargrass out mid this week and replacing it with some Limnophila aromatica
Why are you removing the stargrass? I think it looks awesome. I just sat here and read this whole thread and it's really cool to see something go from your first post to this. You did such a great job. I love watching ideas come full circle.

Though the stargrass does look amazing, it grows really fast in that tank. I started with just a few stems and in over a months time i got 20x more than what i started with.. Also in this tank once it got tall the lower part of the stems couldnt get light so the leaves turned pale and were dying. Hence i moved a big portion of it to another tank, holding it there, getting it healthy.
Thanks for taking your time to look through the thread, looking back at the first page even amazes me that it all came from nothing. I just really hope I can keep it up without any issues.
Tomorrow I should be getting new plants in mail so maybe after a replant I will post some new pictures.
