Hmm the photos on that site are somewhat bad quality so could be that they are screwy. Google both names and get the images. You should get the idea of what each looks like.
hrm...sometimes I think the internet was created to make even the simplest things seem complicated...such as does X look like Y or not lol. Some of the images I've found look the same, others not so much. And some overlap...GAH. oh well, I'm sure you had it right :grinyes:.
I see where the ludwigia would look like the althernanthera, especially when its low light conditions and it gets orange/green. But still the althernanthera has broader/larger leaves
yee internet sure will twist ones mind.. I would just do more google image searches to see which one shows up more and then i go with the label. Trust me these arnt the only plants that look alike.. Good luck with rotalas, anubias and mosses.
lol if you are having fun looking them up then you will have more fun actually having them. One always has a collectoritis point in their planted tank experience.
yea dude your a beast at planted thats sick i am tryin to get my 55 planted going i so far have ludwigia and one other i plan for it to be really heavy planted but my ludwigia seems to be dieing i like it to its cool color i have a 20,000 k coral life and some co2 i am scared to put to much co2 cuz it can lower ph and take oxygen out of water so what should i do to help my plants i never had plants before always african cichlids
Whats the exact wattage of that light fixture?? 20,000K is good for light, but not light thats good for plants. Plants enjoy 5500-10000 Kelvin rating bulbs. Also for ludwigia, it would prefer around 2wpg+. Whats your source of co2? diy/excel/pressurized?
