Do reticulated rays need salt? I know they are from the amazon basin I believe and I was told they go into salt for food but go back to freshwater. Anyone know where I could find more information on this?

Thanks for helping!

Definitely not. They're totally FW. And your "Teacup" will be a serving platter in short order.

freshwater only, only, no salt' all you have to do is google teacup stingrays. all the info you need.

how'd your eel turn out?

I wouldnt recommend googling teacup ray, so many pet stores go by this common name that all the info is gonna be muddled and confusing. Monster Fish Keepers has a whole section just for rays. Try that out. There are a bunch of people on there who know a ton about them.

my thoughts exactly

The moray eel unfortunatly didn't make it. It was the first thing I lost besides feeder fish...I agreed to never get a snowflake eel again from a pet store b/c they never use any salt and typically they never eat while there. Thanks for everyone's help

If you are looking for any more info be sure to check out the stingray forum on monsterfishkeepers.com, AC's sister site. Alot of knowledge to be had there
