FW: Your tank "Then and now"

Well here's mine, it was not the first one but an in between; first pic was like 3 years ago (natural) 2nd one is now (artificial). Unfortunately do to very high temperatures in my country, natural plants are only good in winter so I had to back down to artificial ones. They are 2 different tanks (20g and 30g and soon will upgrade it to a 38 gallon).:

Another great one. So many in this thread are. This one reminds me of The Wizzard of Oz. Very beautiful, but the gap in the middle makes me think of the trip down the Yellow Brick Road. I like it. A lot.

Are they ALL artificial? They look so real. It's hard to tell.

Wish I had a better shot of the "Then": 30 gallon, blue gravel, lightly planted

Built a hood, built a stand, upgraded that same "tank" to a 45g (same footprint, 8 inches higher).

Oddly enough, the blue gravel doesn't look that bad in this tank for some reason. It must be the rock wall divider/terrace.

Here are 2 of my tanks that go through changes more so than my cichlid tank.

First, my 10G. It's been setup for a little over a year.

Here's the tank when I first set it up with that 'freshly planted, no algae' look.


Here's the same tank about 10 months later. The tank eventually 'faded away' due to lack of CO2 and too little light. (only low light plants in it here)


Here it is today. (a few months after upgrading the lights and adding CO2)
Algae is still present. Just need to tweak my fert dosing a bit. Otherwise, the plants are doing well.



Here is my 75G FOWLR.
It, too has been running for a little over a year.
This tank has seen dramatic changes in appearance, but here it is shortly after I added LR to the tank and planted a few macros.


...and here it is today. This tank has seen just about every type of nuisance algae known. Quite a few macros, as well. (most of what's left grows naturally now)
