Here are 2 of my tanks that go through changes more so than my cichlid tank.
First, my 10G. It's been setup for a little over a year.
Here's the tank when I first set it up with that 'freshly planted, no algae' look.
Here's the same tank about 10 months later. The tank eventually 'faded away' due to lack of CO2 and too little light. (only low light plants in it here)
Here it is today. (a few months after upgrading the lights and adding CO2)
Algae is still present. Just need to tweak my fert dosing a bit. Otherwise, the plants are doing well.
Here is my 75G FOWLR.
It, too has been running for a little over a year.
This tank has seen dramatic changes in appearance, but here it is shortly after I added LR to the tank and planted a few macros.
...and here it is today. This tank has seen just about every type of nuisance algae known. Quite a few macros, as well. (most of what's left grows naturally now)
