My Rabbit Snails are really fussy, and to date I can't figure out which flavor of snail "jello" they will or will not eat. It is always hit or miss with my Rabbits. One item they always come out for is "Spirulina Tabs". Everytime I drop a few in their tank they come out, which is unusual for these particular snails. Just thought I would share the info in case anyone else was having trouble getting them to eat. IMG_1751.JPG

You've got them in a planted tank (those are real plants?)

Do they not attack the plants- I thought rabbits were one of the species of snail that would.

I feed mine the kens veggie sticks too, and they absolutely tear up zucchini. Seems like if they are fed a nice veggie rich diet they leave te plants alone.

Ahhh... that's good to know. There is always a veggie available somewhere in my tank.

Mine never chew on the plants. I have fed them zucchini and there are times they don't eat it, but the Briggs love it. The Rabbits will also eat pea or spinach jello, but not everytime. These tabs are always eaten by them.

And yes all the plants are real. :)

Cool... that is interesting, I hesitated getting rabbits when I had the opportunity because of their "plant-eating" habbits... my inverts will be getting their own home later this year (which may or may not be planted) but for right now they're in the heavily planted community tank so I've been carefull what I chose. I know with a lot of the snails there is definately a personal preference thing going.

My large DSP Brigg will not touch baby spinach leaves but loves Zucchini. My mid-sized Ivory LOVES baby spinach leaves and although she will eat Zucchini too, would bypass it for spinach if both are available.

Mine don't bother plants eaither, and I have all sorts of plants. I let algae to grow on the back wall and I notice they eat a lot of that.
