GA Aquarium. Warning: Lots of Pics! #2

Love all the pictures. I have tickets for the Georiga Aquarium for next week. Can't wait! Went when it first opened, but it was soooo crowded then. Hoping that things have calmed down now. Also have tickets to the new CocaCola factory next door to the aquarium. Anyone wanting a good deal can get a package deal from Embassey Suites. They are right across the street fromt he Aquarium. Book the room and get tickets for the Aquarium and the Coca cola factory, just pick up your tickets at the hotel desk when you check in - no standing in line at the aquarium for tickets.

The Sea Dragon is carrying eggs. I couldn't get a pic of them though. It's a very rare thing in captivity and there is a huge buzz about it. They are keeping their tank super clean and have consulted the only "expert" in the world. Once the eggs hatch, the babies will be moved upstairs to be carefully watched and cared for. Feeding the adults is a challenge, feeding hatchlings is pushing the limits of everybody. Keep your fingers crossed! There are already other aquariums and zoos lined up so a successful raising will mean that many less taken from the wild. :D

It is less crowded than when it first opened, but still gets busy on weekends and holidays. When exactly are you going? If you're interested in a behind the scenes tour, let me know. I'm not certain of the cost ($50 regular price I think), but I can get you half off. PM me if you might be interested. It'd be a pleasure to hook up AC members.

its me, im the expert. just giv em some brine shrimp :grinyes:. thats cool, if they hatch you have to get pics

LOL. WHEN they hatch, you better believe I'll be in the nursery camera in hand! I'm probably headed there again this weekend. I'm trying to increase my hours and get to know everybody because that's how the cooler volunteer opportunities are gained. Plus that place and the people there are addictive! :D
