You can use a Dremel or a wet saw / tile saw / rock saw (diamond blade). If you decide to use a wet saw, be sure to use sw to cool the blade to avoid showering the coral with fw. You'll, of course, want to rinse the saw / blade really well afterwards to get rid of the salt.
If you want something less precise, you could always take a hammer and chisel to it.
In any case, be careful and I'd suggest wearing safety goggles.

:iagree: Dremel + extra person is the best way. Put coral in a tupperware container and have a second person right there with you with a turkey baster. Put coral/saltwater in tub, pull out of tub when your ready to start cutting and have the second person with the turkey baster sucking water out of the tub and GENTLY dribble it onto the coral as you cut it so it doesn't get too hot. Extra precaution, dip the coral in Iodine/Lugos when done fragging to help heal cut tissue and avoid infections. AWAYS WEAR SAFTEY GLASSES when using a dremel to cut frags like from a galaxia because there will be a fine mist coming from the dremel as you cut, and you don't want any of that getting in your eyes.
Thanks. Sounds like the hammer and chisel will be my best bet. I really don't want salt water in my Dremel. Also, where do I find Iodine/Lugos and what brand name does it come under?
Some LFSs carry Lugol's solution, but it's not a real common item available locally. Kent makes a Lugol's solution. If you know anyone that works in a chemistry or biology lab, they may have some. It's very concentrated, so you won't need a whole lot unless you'll be doing a lot of fragging / dipping.
Heh, hammer and chisel for me. Granted, I wouldn't do it unless you want multiple frags, lol. It does work, however.
