I hate 1337 speak.
Makes the person seem like a idiotic 13 year old...
Which is normally the case.
I use it when I make fun of people though.

When you say serious gamers do you mean 12 year olds or those of us who have been playing video games since before they were born?

That is what I was thinking, but was not sure.

Thanks for everyones input and thoughts. I can understand the arguement to use elite and to stay away from leet speak.

I am working on a side project of opening a High Speed Video Gaming Center and Internet Cafe with Video Games and Computers available for rent or people can bring their own. We will also have a retail store inside it.

While I am no gamer, I have been in the retail end of video games, TV's and computers for a while.

The place is going to be called Elite Zone, but I wanted to have a nick name also. I have settled on l33t z0n3. I just did not know how I wanted to have it laid out. I should have given 3l33t z0ne3 as a chioce, but I did not like it.

I will also have a web site (www.l33tz0n3.net). I just parked it on Go Daddy, so it will take a while. Since I know nothing about playing online games or building web sites, it might take a long while.

I might be asking other strange questions, but really plan to bug the guys and game stop and babbages for info.

OK first off, i am 12 and have been playing video games since i was 3 (my brother was always playing playstation and i wanted to be just like him) so 13 year old gamers arent all mentally challenged when it comes to using the english language(says the kid who reads the dictionary when he's bored, yeah i'm easily and diversly amused) I learned Playstation controls at an early age, now if i play anything else than a Sony I go nuts trying not to get Owned.... and only stupid people use Text talk and l33t speak anymore. It's just dumb.
 
I forgot to mention that this is a place for people over the age of 18. I want to get a big sign that looks like the "M" from the ESRB on the front door.

We will have tournaments and other events.

I am sure there will be pictures on the web site once the store (and the web site) is up.

The l33t z0n3 part of the whole thing is more of a logo idea.

On a side note, I have seen that there is a difference between a n00b and a newb. I never knew. I am trying to be a newb not a n00b, I guess time will tell.
 
I'd go with P.O.C. since it took Microsoft to get it right after 4 failed consoles. It's everything and anything else other than MS stuff for me in the future. ;)
