Garbage dump tank

My fish don't go in my bottles, the only things that have are cory-cats, eels and my crab that got stuck in one once. The bottles also collect quite a bit of detrius, so you'll have to take them out every once in awhile and rinse them out.

Get a piece of Mopani wood to dicolour the water, you can leave it in or take it out once the colour is added. Add a toilet seat cover! And Some rope! plastic made rope (that yellow one) coulod be a cool thing to add!

Add a large filter Vaccum thing to create a slightly stronger current maybe? That'd add a cool rivier effect! Maybe some Cleaned out of fake lighters. a pair of panties tied to the bottom ;) lol. you could even add a cleaned up broken old fishing rod, and like a fake liscence plate or something like that.

I hope my idea's are of use!

Please Post pics of this! I would LOVE TO SEE IT!

How about a knotted up wad of fishing line with a funky old lure attached stuffed under a rock! Of course, you'd either have to snip off the hooks or dip the sharp tips into a tube of silicone a couple times to coat them with a good glob so they wouldn't be dangerous to the fish...

If your trying to use old fishing lures, the hooks can easily be cut off with wire cutters. Its an easy job. You can also put new hooks on if you want to use the lure again. Its very easy, you just need a circular peice that goes around peice of metal on the lure. I can't remember what its called but its the same idea as a key chain ring but smaller. Just be sure to cut the hook and not the peice on the lure the hook attaches too - at least if you still want to use the lure. Most lures are made for the hooks to be replaced.

Also, if you are a fisherman, yoiu might try keeping your new lures in the tank. Some people argue that the new plastic smell of new lures repel the fish. It just doesn't seem natural to them and they are less likely to bite it. There are all kinds of scent products to cover this up, but the best way is to use the lure. After lures are used, they get that smell to them. Maybe keeping the lures in your tank will give them the good smell fish like and hide the plastic smell. I'm not sure if it will work but just an idea.

Just a thought.

Just saw at bigalsonline.com under resin decorations a "sewer pipe" and remembered your garbage dump thread. Just thought I'd pass it along.
