OK, I have read 10,000 threads about people building stands able to withstand nuclear war just to support a 55 gal tank...

If I were to build stands to sell, how many people would be interested in purchasing something like this?

Below is a picture of my 125, on a stand that I built, with a 10 gallon tank on a slide out below it. The entire stand and canopy is made of oak plywood. For something similar to this I would charge about $500-600 assembled, but not stained. I would be able to stain at additional cost.

The canopy would be bare, no lights or plumbing to be installed,
(can do at additional cost)

Shipping would be by truck, and depend on the size of the tank..
Prices indicated above represent a 72"x18" 125 gal tank.

Located in Northwest Indiana, 30 Miles from Downtown Chicago.

At that price, you've put yourself out of business before you start. Well-known stand companies build furniture grade stands and canopies like that for around the same price. If you want to build stands and canopies, check with a few LFS in your area and see if they'll allow you to put your work in on consignment.

Eeeh then you might have to have the hassle of shipping

Really nice work zigman. I'd say selling locally or supplying LFS is your best bet.

Nice stand, Ziggy!!!

(I'd put a dozen donuts on the pull-out)

;)

i like the 10g slide-out that is really creative and neat
