Can I keep the discuss with other fish? Also, how low can the temp be kept? I've read they need water temps of 84 - 86. That would be too warm for my other fish.
I'm looking for center piece fish for 130 gal. I do have hard water though.
Thanks

Home bred discus are more adaptable, but I would grow them out in a separate tank. While young they need the high temps. Once over a year old or so 80-82. As far as discus as a center piece fish, they do not do well with less than 5 unless you have an actual spawning pair. The saying goes, if you have 3 discus you will soon only have one lonely discus as they will pick each other off.

at less than 10 bucks a peice, id be willing to get 5 or so.

What is the price on 10 shipped to 28306. (Fayetteville, NC)?

Do you take paypal?

I would need to recieve them before 10 am, I am not sure what impact that will have on shipping charges.

The cost of the fish, if ordering 10, would be $60 if bought within the first 2 weeks of me having the fish.

I calculated best guess at this point for a 9 lb package (4 bags of fish with 1 qt of water each). I don't think it will be that heavy, but I figured better to go a little heavy on weight while calculating. That way when I actually ship the package, if it is less, it will be a pleasant surprise for you instead of a shock of it costing more than I quoted. Anyway, I checked UPS, Fedex, and USPS. USPS Express is a 2 day trip from me to you and no guarantee what time of day, but is $55. UPS and Fedex both are guaranteed by 10:30 am. UPS NDA is - $75.00, and Fedex is - $79.00.

Yes I take Paypal.

Mind you, this is all contingent on once I have the discus in my possession at the cost the guy quoted me.

I have left him a message that I would like to have the whole spawn as it appears I will have enough interest in them.

If this deal actually goes through, this is the pricing I will be doing.

1-2 fish - $10 ea
3-4 fish - $9 ea
5-6 fish - $8 ea
7-9 fish - $7 ea
10+ fish - $6 ea
