Yep i just used egg yolk until they could eat freshly hatched brine shrimp, which was only about 5 days. Then the brine shrimp for about a week. I got sick of hatching them. so i switch to micro worms. Now their big enough they can eat anything. I've using kens flakes now. If the flake is to big they just pick at it and break into smaller pieces.

how'd you do the egg yolk? I mean keep it from going bad specifically. did you refridgerate/freeze the unused portion?

Yep small zip lock bag in the refrigerator.

well, here's a photo I took of my parent-raising rams.

The fry have been free-swimming for 3 days. Feeding them hard boiled egg yolk dissolved in water.
